Hi, I'm Equium Duo, former pirate and CEO of the new mercenary corp, catch-22.
We reside in the eve universe in a small constellation close to the main trading hub, jita.
My former post as CEO of Tough Luck, was both a resounding success and a terrible failiure. We had some epic battles with TL and i learned alot about pvp. I learned alot about leadership, and there are several lessons i will caryy with me and share with all who will listen. TL was meant as a fun empire pvp corp, noi strings attached fun with a complete disregard for anyone elses feelings. We had some huge succeses but ultimately we were doomed to fail. for more info visit toughluck.forumsvibe.com and view my blog on the front page of the forum.
Anyways on to catch-22. With this corp i had one thing in mind, honour and respect. I could not expect for any decent pod pilot to hand over cash to me to do what they need if i have no reputation as a loyal person. Therefore catch-22 will be built upon the following rules.
-Be honourable,
-Be smart,
-Be polite,
-Fight fair during off time.
I'll expand on these core principles.
-Be Honourable
This is very important for me, i think we need to establish ourselves in our constellation. We will always honour 1v1's, we will not smacktalk and we will fly with pride.
-Be Smart
This is key to the corp surviving, i will review every contract myself , as well as have my board of directors review them also. Anything that seems like a backward step will be avoided.
-Be Polite
Manners are free and go a long way.
-Fight fair during off time.
Under contract we will be obliged to fill our 'quota' as quickly and efficiently as possible. During off time, i will not condone the 'slaughter' of other pilots who have no chance. Therefore i am initiating a rule whereby all combat will have a fair chanccof winning or losing. This means no miner killing, no killing noobs in destroyers. That said we will try and kill these people but possibly give them a chance to do so. For example, taking on a destroyer in a burst, or tackling a miner in a hauler. This is a game and we strive to have fun!!
We've already had our first trial war, and it ended with me losing a vaga and a corpmate. But we killed a full t2 domi, so it balances out isk wise. I wish my ex-corpie all the best and we still keep in touch. The corp is a little slow as a few of my members are busy in real life, myself included. So we are taking the time to do some much needed logistical work and skill advancement. We expect to be fully operational by the end of february. Where I hope to publish our final draft of the corp objective, goals and schedule. I have several key milestones that need to be done.
Recruitment is open, but the 5m sp limit seems restrcitve, yet even then the focus of that sp leaves alot to be desired. I came accross a young man, who had fitted, arty, AC and rails and blasters to his Hurricane, i an very fond of my minmatar ships and was displeased to see such a display of weaponry! I have tried to recruit him to the cause and set him straight.
For now logistics seems to be my current goal, as is getting my characters into command ships. Equium has to finish up recon skills, before he thinks of comand ships. Christoffski is in a different position and is set to move into the gallante line of command ships, specificully the Eos.
Anyways fly safe!! o/
